The Local Organizing Committee welcomes you to the 13th International
Workshop on Sol-Gel Science and Technology, to be held in Los Angeles,
California, August 21-26, 2005, on the beautiful campus of the University
of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
We look forward to your active participation in the International Sol-Gel
Workshop series. This series started nearly 25 years ago, and is widely
recognized as the premier conference in the field of sol-gel science and
technology. The workshop brings together a multi-disciplinary,
international group of scientists and engineers with the mandate of
highlighting the most prominent research and technological developments
in the field. The 13th International Workshop on Sol-Gel Science and
Technology will be the first one held in the United States. The UCLA
campus, just 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, provides an ideal
environment for the workshop, and promises to be very memorable event.
The meeting will include technical sessions with invited and contributed
talks, poster sessions, a conference banquet, during which the Ulrich
Awards will be presented, and an accompanying persons program. �
UCLA has extended the special conference rate three days prior to the
conference and three days afterward.�
